Why should I take this course?

The National Career Development Association’s (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development Training was created to provide standards, training specifications, and credentialing to eligible career providers in our field.
This comprehensive 13-week virtual course is designed to enhance the skills of service providers working in any type of career development, workforce or educational setting. Taught by Lisa Brown Jordan, a nationally trained and qualified instructor, and the current editor of the Facilitating Career Development curriculum, this training focuses on 12 career development competencies.

Successful completion of the course will give you eligibility to apply for the following credentials - setting you apart from others in the field!
  • Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE)
  • Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credential through the National Career Development Association (NCDA)

It's also an excellent opportunity to interact with colleagues from a variety of work settings!

What's included?

We understand the time and financial concerns related to training. To address this, we offer a 100% virtual experience! Learners enjoy the richness and interaction of an in-person training with regularly scheduled "face-to-face" meetings you can participate in from the comfort of your home or office. Monthly start dates offer flexibility and time to complete weekly assignments.

Weekly assignments that build in peer interaction!

Even when we're not face-to-face, we are still interacting online. This allows for regular learning from each other!

Course specialization options!

Interested in a specialization? We offer the following: Workforce Development Services, Disability Services, K-12, Re-Entry Services, and Business Services.

Ongoing instructor support

Weekly office hours are available if you have questions or need help. We've also built in scheduled meeting times with your instructor, Lisa!

Practical assignments related to the work YOU do!

Student select assignment topics that are of interest to you, allowing for practical application from the classroom to the workplace!

Additional resources - at no cost to you!

You'll also receive four additional career development books (valued at over $75) as part of your course tuition.
